More Mommy Time for Britney

After not seeing her boys for almost two months, Britney Spears has scored her second face-to-face visit in the past three days.

The embattled pop star received another in-home visit from one-year-old Jayden James and two-year-old Sean Preston on Monday, E! News has confirmed.

The kids were again shuttled to Spears' home in Kevin Federline's gray Dodge Viper truck, driven by Federline's longtime security guard, at around 9 a.m. They departed shortly after noon. News of the Monday sojourn was first reported by jfxonline.com.

While few details of Monday's mommy-and-me session were available, during Saturday's visit, Spears, 26, was not permitted to be alone with her sons.

Among those present at the initial visit were her father, Jamie Spears, a court-appointed monitor, a Federline bodyguard and an attorney from the Luce Forward law firm, which is handling Britney's conservatorship for Jamie Spears.

Britey gets reunited with her boys

Reunited and it feels so good for Britney Spears and her boys.

For the first time in nearly two months, the beleaguered pop star had face-to-face contact with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, during a Saturday morning, court-monitored visit, sources confirm to E! News.

The boys, who have primarily resided at Federline's home in Tarzana since October, were packed into his gray Dodge Viper truck by a bodyguard and shuttled to Spears' home on the Studio City-Beverly Hills border around 9 a.m.

The visit lasted until noon, at which point the boys were driven back to Federline's, wearing smiles on their faces.

Aside from Spears and a court-appointed monitor, there were several other key personnel on hand, including: Britney's father, Jamie Spears; a Federline security guard; and a lawyer from the Luce Forward law firm, which is handling Britney's conservatorship for Jamie Spears.

Omission Is The Best Possible News For Beckham

Capello should pick his squad from what he has seen over the past month or so (which is why Michael Owen shouldn't be in the squad, but that's a debate for another writer), and although he will already know Beckham well, he hasn't seen Beckham.

Shaun Wright-Phillips, David Bentley, Aaron Lennon and Ashley Young are all ahead of Beckham in the food chain at present, and until he can prove he is ready then that's how it should remain.

Ohio River Bridges Project bashed

An ad-hoc Metro Council committee is holding hearings on an alternative to the Ohio River Bridges Project, a $4.1 billion plan to build two new spans over the Ohio River and reconfigure the Spaghetti Junction interchanges downtown. The bridges would go downtown and in eastern Jefferson County.

The alternative plan, known as 8664 -- "86" is slang for "get rid of" and "64" refers to I-64 -- is being pushed by a group of local residents and would eliminate the highway through downtown and replace it with a surface-level parkway. It also envisions just one new bridge, in eastern Jefferson County. The 8664 plan would cost roughly half of the bridges project.

While the Ohio River Bridges Project has federal approval, the state does not know how it will pay its $2.9 billion share.

Ultra-high performance models punctuate a quieter, greener Detroit ...

This may not go down as one of Detroit's most memorable auto shows but it did have its telling moments.

On a macro scale, we saw General Motors' product resurgence continue with an array of new vehicles and concepts, both green and mean in character, notably the Cadillac Provoq, CTS coupe and blisteringly fast CTS-V and Corvette ZR-1. And for the second big show in a row (counting Los Angeles), GM seems to be out maneuvering Toyota in terms of perceived leadership with plug-in hybrid and alternative fuels technology.

Detroit's other players, hard-pressed Ford and Chrysler, regrouped around brand new versions of their core products, the Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram pick-up trucks respectively. While such vehicles -- as presented -- do not score many points in the green column, Ford and Chrysler did their best to appeal to that constituency with an emphasis on turbocharged smaller engine technology (from Ford), as well as diesels and advanced hybrids in Chrysler's case.

Don't expect breakout of boxing matches at NASCAR races

NASCAR officials declared recently that they want to see their drivers showing more personality and fire.

It was a nice thought, but fans shouldn't raise their hopes too high.

The past is gone, and there's little NASCAR can do to recapture it other than display dusty photographs and mementos in a Hall of Fame.

Don't expect more races to end like the 1979 Daytona 500 did, with drivers wrestling right there in the infield.

"It's not going to be some big change," Carl Edwards says of NASCAR's stated desire for drivers to loosen up.

Even if NASCAR looks the other way, someone's watching. This big-money sport relies on sponsorships and not every corporation that pays millions to dress a car in decals wants the kind of publicity a right cross and a headlock on national TV can bring.

Ferrari unveils ethanol-powered sports car

The Italian luxury sports car maker unveiled a concept car on Monday that can run on ethanol which it said reflected its engineering expertise from Formula One racing and growing demand for alternative fuel vehicles in the United States.

The sleek Ferrari F430 Spider Biofuel, with green stripes on its silver bodywork, consumes an E85 -- 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline -- mix, a growing fuel blend in the U.S.

Ferrari chief executive Amedeo Felisa said during a news conference at the North American International Auto Show that the concept was part of the firm's efforts to reduce tailpipe emission levels by 40 percent by 2012.

Felisa said Ferrari had gleaned experience in using biofuel in Formula I because of regulations that competitors use gasoline with a 5.75 percent biomass content.

Voice: Renison part of Calexico’s past

I have been reading your stories of late on Calexico and feel uncomfortable with the way your stories don't seem to tell the whole story. It's as if they are written to instigate and generate more controversy. You want controversy, why don't you do a story on the fact that our current Mayor John Renison seems to be running a political campaign at the expense of the taxpayers. He hasn't admitted to running for re-election but his TV commercials have him stating his name and standing in front of City Hall by himself. At his press conferences he is the only council member present. At least the pictures are only of him.&t=imperial,%20el-centro,%20calexico,%20imperial-county&r=mexico&category=world_news","newsvine","toolbar=no,width=590,height=600,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes")'>
